When can I pick up my conference badge?
On Sunday, 28 July, the registration desk at Mercury Ballroom at level 5 will be open during 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm. Register on Sunday and join us at the pre-conference reception afterwards at the Mercury Ballroom at level 5 from 5:00 pm to 6:30 pm.
The registration desk will open on Monday 29 July from 8:30 am to 9:00 am outside the Venus Grand Ballroom at level 3.

Will I receive a programme booklet?
For the conference, an e-booklet has been produced to reduce waste. You can access the e-booklet here.

What is the dress code?
The dress code is smart casual. Do bring along a sweater or jacket in case it gets chilly at the congress venue.

Are dietary restrictions catered for?
All tea breaks are halal and include vegetarian options. Halal and vegetarian options are available during lunch and the closing dinner.

Is there a secretariat room?
The secretariat room is at the VIP room at level 3, mainly to facilitate presenters’ transfer of files for their presentation. Please note that printing service is not available at the secretariat room. Please visit the business centre of the hotel for your personal secretarial needs.

Will the organisers offer certificates of participation?
Each participant will receive a certificate of participation. Presenters will be acknowledged for their contribution to the congress in their certificates of participation.

Are there discounted registration fees for the congress?
Enjoy early bird discount on standard registration fees until 31 May 2019. Discounted fees are also available for students. View more

Standard and student congress registration fees* include:

Are there discounted hotel rates?
Specially negotiated prices and block bookings for Furama Riverfront Singapore hotel (405 Havelock Road, Singapore 169633) for the period of 28 – 31 July 2019 are available here until 30 June 2019 (subject to availability, on a first-come-first-served).

Are meals included?
Congress fees include daily lunch and morning and afternoon coffee breaks during 29 – 30 July 2019. The organisers will also host a conference reception on 28 July 2019 and closing dinner on 30 July 2019.

What modes of payment are accepted?
Only credit card payment is accepted via the registration page. Payment by cash/bank transfer/cheque will not be accepted.

Would I need a visa to enter Singapore?
Please refer to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs website for more information, visit the Immigration and Checkpoints Authority website, or refer to your nearest Singapore embassy or consulate.

How can I obtain an invitation letter for my visa application?
Should you require an invitation letter, email your request to conference@frs.ethz.ch upon completion of your registration.

How do I get to the congress venue?

FOR PRESENTERS

Are presenters required to submit full papers?
No, submission of the full paper is not required.

Will conference proceedings be published?
Upon acceptance of abstracts, presenters who wish to publish their work in conference proceedings may submit a four-page paper in addition to the abstract. More information will follow upon acceptance of abstracts.
In addition, authors will be invited to submit the full papers for special issues of QREI or Springer after the conference.

How can I prepare for my presentation?
Presenters will receive guidelines to help you prepare for your presentation by the first week of July.

Do presenters need to register for the congress?
Yes. Please register here.

How will I be acknowledged as a presenter?
All presenters will be acknowledged for their contribution to the congress in their certificates of participation.
