Director of Product Strategy and Commercialisation, Intech Process Automation

Biography

Brandon is the Director of Product Strategy and Commercialisation of Intech Process Automation. In his role, he leads the creation of new industrial platforms that focus on delivering intelligent operations and the establishment of Intech APAC Manufacturing Center of Excellence. The centre focusses on co-invention in the area of manufacturing operations management with smart communities using smart analytics, artificial intelligence and adaptive responses.

Brandon is active in both industry and government agencies networks and currently serves as Chairman of the Singapore Manufacturing Federation’s Smart Automation industry group.  He is currently leading a national effort known as “Manufacturing Transformation Initiatives” that brings together technology providers, system integrators, manufacturers, academics, and government agencies to jointly transform industries to move them higher up the value chain and to make them future-ready.

With 23 years of industry experience in technical and consulting roles, sales and marketing, business development and more lately in association work, Brandon brings best practices to industries and help them embrace them as part of their processes.  He is knowledgeable in manufacturing management practices such as manufacturing operation management, lean six sigma, quality and yield management, data mining, and equipment predictive and prescriptive maintenance.  He is also trained in operation research and has delivered public speeches advocating best practices for digital manufacturing.

Smart Asset Management in the Era of Industry 4.0

In asset and process performance management, case management and graph database are increasingly used to match known relationships and additional relationships are subsequently discovered using natural language processing (NLP), thereby adding implicitly to knowledge model use cases. Such case knowledge mining are centred around building a class of smart assets that can continuously learn to better detect and predict adversaries and prescribe the right countermeasure. The method can enhance the effective use of assets and prolong the life cycle of the asset and its corresponding eco-system. It also provides opportunities to connect operations to assets to jointly orchestrate efficient operation with optimal resource utilization. To achieve this, assets must be designed with digital twin with its own data collection agents to actively crawl for related data and continuously discover data relation. In this presentation, Mr Brandon Lee will share concepts, possible use cases, and potential collaboration for jumpstarting this initiative.
